In this role you will be responsible for leading the global segment strategy, sourcing processes, bundling activities, and supplier collaboration for an assigned direct material segment. You will play a central role in driving global purchasing initiatives, aligning sourcing decisions with business objectives, and delivering sustainable value through cost optimization, supplier performance improvements, and strategic supply chain management.
Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:
Defining and executing the global segment strategy in collaboration with Divisional Segment Managers.
Providing regular updates on segment strategy development and execution to the Segment Strategy Council.
Leading global bundling activities, including bundle identification, planning, and implementation.
Driving global sourcing scenario discussions and ensuring alignment with segment and bundling strategies.
Leading sourcing concurrence meetings and facilitating strategic sourcing decisions.
Actively participating in Global Sourcing Council activities.
Managing and coordinating globally assigned divisional segment buyers through a dotted-line reporting structure.
Supporting divisions in the execution of segment strategies, including resourcing and value engineering/value analysis initiatives.
Collaborating with Global Segment Directors to align sourcing strategies with Product Line requirements.
Supporting forecasting and quarterly RFx processes.
Leading or supporting bundle negotiations with key suppliers.
Acting as Group Lead Buyer for assigned supplier groups.
Driving performance against key procurement and supply chain metrics, including cost savings, supplier quality, logistics performance, sustainability, and payment terms.
If you have/are:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or category management within a global organization.
Strong understanding of direct material purchasing and supplier management.
Experience developing and implementing global sourcing and segment strategies.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional and international stakeholder relationships.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Experience leading complex sourcing projects and procurement initiatives.
Knowledge of forecasting processes, supplier quality requirements, and logistics operations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Willingness to work in a highly collaborative and global environment.
