In this role you will you will architect, lead, and deliver large-scale automation solutions across global manufacturing and enterprise IT. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong ownership, and the ability to modernize legacy processes using advanced automation, cloud-native practices, and emerging AI/LLM capabilities. You will be a key driver in transforming how IT services are delivered worldwide.
Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:
Architect and deliver end-to-end automation solutions using Ansible as the primary automation platform (collections, automation frameworks, custom modules).
Lead automation strategy across infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and cloud environments.
Design and implement advanced integration solutions using APIs, secure authentication, and enterprise API governance models.
Build, extend, and maintain automation and tooling in Python, PowerShell, and optionally Java.
Define and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, improving reliability, quality, and delivery speed.
Drive cloud and on-prem orchestration, integrating VMware, Cisco, Windows/Linux, Azure services, and third-party platforms.
Apply AI/LLM automation, including MCP (Model Context Protocol), to accelerate development, reduce complexity, and introduce autonomous operations where logical.
Lead adoption of modern automation trends including GitOps, event-driven automation, Infrastructure as Code, and self-service automation portals.
Guide container platform modernization—Docker, Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu, and cloud-native operational patterns.
Mentor automation engineers, set coding standards, perform code reviews, and establish best practices.
Work with security teams to ensure automated solutions meet compliance, identity, and hardening requirements.
Document architecture, workflows, and standards with clarity and precision.
Collaborate across global IT and engineering teams to identify opportunities, shape strategy, and deliver impact.
and if you have/are:
Deep hands-on expertise with Ansible (advanced roles, modular design, collections, dynamic inventory, API-driven automation).
Strong architectural understanding of infrastructure: VMware, Cisco networking, server OSes, hybrid cloud.
Expert-level knowledge of automation fundamentals, patterns, and frameworks.
Strong scripting and development skills in Python and PowerShell; experience in Java is a plus.
Solid mastery of REST APIs, authentication (OAuth2, JWT, certificate-based), API tokens, and integration design.
Advanced experience with Azure and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
Proven track record of delivering automation at scale in enterprise environments.
Experience with LLM-assisted automation, MCP-based workflows, or AI-driven operational tooling.
Ability to design scalable, maintainable automation architectures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on speed and accuracy.
also nice to have:
Experience with Puppet, Salt, Chef, or similar config management stacks.
Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, VMware Tanzu platform experience.
Exposure to event-driven automation platforms (webhooks, Kafka, ServiceNow events, rule engines).
Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or other highly distributed enterprise environments.
Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture, enterprise identity integrations, or secure automation patterns.
