To drive growth outside of the core products, Autoliv has established growth-oriented business unit called Mobility Safety Solutions. One of the key businesses within Mobility Safety Solutions is Pyro Safety Switches, PSS, offering electric protection based on pyrotechnics for cars, motorcycles, batteries, charging stations and other electric applications. The purpose of the Pyro Safety Switch is to protect vehicles and other applications from fire or damage in case of malfunctions or crashes. The market is growing fast, driven by the electrification needed to enable the world’s transition towards a fossil-free society.
Job Overview:
As we continue to expand our presence on a global scale and strengthen the existing Europe sales team, we are seeking a results-oriented PSS Sales Manager to lead and drive our sales efforts in Europe. Primary focus is to grow the business with assigned European Car OEMs but expanding into new markets and sectors is also a key aspect of the role. You will be part of the PSS sales team and report to the Head of Global Sales for PSS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to penetrate the automotive OEM market in the Europe, as well as other markets or sectors such as battery storage, charging stations or electric motorcycles.
- Identify and prioritize target accounts, establish key relationships, and drive opportunities from lead generation to closure.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and customer success.
- Conduct local market research and analysis to identify emerging trends or competitive threats.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs, including revenue quotas, sales pipeline metrics, and other performance indicators.
- Provide regular reporting and updates on sales activities and forecasts to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in sales from an industry related to the electrical field.
- Strong understanding of the automotive market, industry trends, and key players. Experience from battery safety is favorable.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support sales efforts.
- English and German languages speaking and writing skills are needed.
