We are looking for a for a tech-savvy Compliance Specialist, who enjoys exploring new ways of communicating, optimize the usage of digital tools and smart and effective ways of working, for Autoliv’s global Compliance & Corporate Integrity team.
In this role you will be part of an independent function responsible for Compliance & Corporate Integrity for Autoliv globally. You will report to the Global Compliance Program Director within the Compliance & Corporate Integrity function and be part of a small but diverse team with colleagues based in various parts of the world, all driven by the same ambition– to empower the people of Autoliv to make the right legal and ethical decisions as they go about their everyday business.
The function
Autoliv’s Compliance & Corporate Integrity function (CCI) is a global team responsible for managing and monitoring Autoliv’s Corporate Compliance Program.
Autoliv has the ambition of having a Corporate Compliance Program representing best practice, with an elevated level of engagement from management on all levels and with a focus on both legal compliance as well as corporate integrity.
As a team, we regularly work with developing, implementing and maintaining the compliance program in respect of corporate legal and integrity risks. The function’s objective is to enable, inspire, and making it easy for employees to make responsible decisions.
The program includes policies, procedures, and activities designed to help prevent, detect, and respond to violations of laws and regulations. It covers several risk areas such as corrupt business practices, anti-competitive behavior, conflicts of interest, respect in the workplace, data privacy as well as other Code of Conduct-related matters.
The Role
In this role, you will play an important part in managing global activities and projects within the compliance program. You will use your technical skills to suggest enhancements, automation and simplification of existing processes and controls. With your creativity and innovative drive, you will be an important part of developing and implementing a roadmap of prioritized initiatives to keep continuously improving the compliance program and the culture of integrity in the company. You will also play a key role in taking the compliance program and function to the next level, ensuring effectiveness when it comes to leveraging technology, using data analytics to improve and sharpen our program activities, such as risk assessment, third party risk management, trainings, certifications and other processes and controls. You will also support an improved way of communication and reporting, both internally and externally, with data driven compliance, analytics, and proactive risk management. You will work closely with the Global Compliance Program Director and the rest of the CCI Team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Compliance Program Management
- Continuously improve compliance processes through digitalization and automation for a better user experience.
- Further develop how we use data analytics to measure the effectiveness of our Compliance program.
- Drive process adjustments and implementation across Compliance and other business functions.
- Support and/or drive improvement projects for the Compliance function and program, related to e.g. new systems and tools ensuring a high level of capability and effectiveness of the program.
- Identify and implement internal process improvements leading to increased efficiency and relevance aligned with the function’s priorities and the different risk areas covered.
Compliance Training & Communication
- Take an active part in developing new compliance training together with the Global CCI Team.
- Measuring effectiveness of training; using data analytics to identify knowledge gaps and understand how employees interact with training.
- Ideate and create engaging internal communication and training suitable for our employees in all parts of the organization, including developing smart ways to tailor training to be relevant and appealing in different cultures and parts of the organization and the world.
Insights, analytics, and reporting
- Be responsible for leveraging data analytics and insights to spot trends, identify risks, patterns of misconduct or other red flags for compliance weaknesses, to ensure proactive risk management.
- Prepare reports of various sorts and to different management levels, related to program development and effectiveness and sharing of compliance data related to for example Helpline reports and investigations as well as training.
Code of Conduct and Compliance Standards/Policies
- Support periodic reviews and updates of the Code of Conduct - focus on making it easier for employees to gain the guidance they need in real time.
- Support policy management - focusing on simplicity and access.
- Code of Conduct Certification and Conflicts of Interest disclosure process – focus on digitalization and process simplification.
Professional experience, personal characteristics and competencies enabling success
We are looking for a someone who is curious, enjoys being part of a motivated team and has a “can do” positive attitude. You should have enough experience in the field to work independently and be self-going, but also enjoy learning, collaboration and constructive teamwork. You must be comfortable delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment and be organized and structured enough to independently manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
We think you have experience with working in a Compliance function or other similar field in an international corporate environment. We also believe that you are a brilliant communicator, with focus on digital communication and engagement. Your level of English is high, being confident to communicate both verbally and in writing on a professional level.
Lastly, we believe that you have the high level of technical and digital skills that the team is missing today, meaning that you not only can elevate this part of our program activities, but also raise the overall competence level in the team, by being generous is sharing your knowledge and work to make the whole team better communicators suitable for the time and our current and future employees and other stakeholders.
Critical functional competencies for this role would be:
- At least two years’ experience from working in a Compliance/Integrity function or similar for a global company, preferably with a focus on digitalization
- University Degree required – Law, IT, Finance, Communication, or other relevant area
- Strong Digital Competence, with focus on making digital solutions user-friendly and meeting the needs of end-users
- Experience with digital tools and platforms for compliance management
- Excellent analytical skills, having good understanding of compliance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
