The role of the Data Privacy Legal Counsel is to
- Continuously monitor the global Data Privacy Landscape relevant for Autoliv
- Create and establish policies and procedures for Autoliv based on legal requirements
- Ensure Data Privacy related contracts are in line with Autoliv Standards
More specifically the Data Privacy Legal Counsel should:
- Monitor and actively follow up regarding the Privacy landscape affecting the global Data Privacy Program and determine the impact for Autoliv
- Review local Data Privacy legislations and documentation of changes
- Propose recommendations based on local changes to adjust the global Data Privacy Program
- Collaborate and consult with relevant legal departments to ensure key legal/ compliance issues are identified and mitigated
- Keep track of changes and evolutions within the global Data Privacy landscape
- Propose adjustment of the global Data Privacy Program if needed
- Create Data Privacy information material for relevant stakeholders
- Review and update Autoliv Data Privacy Policies, Recommendations, and best practices
- Support Autoliv Teams interaction with external suppliers and customers
- Support for any Data Processing related initiatives
- Guide Purchase and Sales Teams within contract reviews and negotiations
- Provide guidelines and recommendations for internal Stakeholders
- Support the Corporate Data Protection Officer during Data Privacy related analyses
- Define Data Subject, Incident and Breach documentation and standards reflecting global and local requirements
- Work with relevant Stakeholders to ensure Data Subject Requests, Incidents and Breach documentation is prepared
- Review and evaluate received Data Subject Request, Incident and Breach documentation
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Data Privacy experience
- Master’s degree in law
- A good working knowledge of Information Security principles and practices (it could be a plus)
- Project management skills
- Industry recognized Data Privacy Certifications
- Computer Technology-related legislation experience (it could be a plus)

- Good verbal and written communication skills, and able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Self-motivated and organised
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Able to plan/complete implementations and support to culture change
- Able to manage time and priorities appropriately
- Fluent in English
- Positive attitude towards learning and development, demonstrated by a record of continuing professional development
