If you have extended experience in mechatronics and you like to organize things, and make the processes smother, smarter and easy to follow on a global level, you might be the next colleague we are looking for as a Global Process Equipment Authority for our Steering Wheel product line. 

This role will need to:

  • Develop the competencies, and knowledge in Steering Wheel manufacturing community
  • Supporting the Autoliv strategy on Mechatronics in Steering Wheel for better competitiveness
  • Interaction with Design Authority (GDA) and Electronic & Mechatronic experts

 in close cooperation with other Steering Wheels GPEA, GPD, and local Plants colleagues

by creating or developing:

  • Technical Guidelines & Training Material for Mechatronics SW Systems
  • Create standards like Master PFMEAs for new core processes, technologies, in relation with other Product Lines
  • Specifications of prototype machines / Manage pilot equipment purchase in accordance to automation project needs
  • Process Representativeness in the Global Product Management team

Taking this challenge you will have the chance of:

  • Moderate the LPEA team.
  • Join Cross PL, Global workshop/projects related to Mechatronics in Steering Wheel
  • Drive with LPEA the definition and execution of the 1Process strategy and improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate with LPEA implementation of new process developed by GPD team (in GDP/GPP)
  • Support the RFQ team in quotes, and owning the ICAN Standard Process content
  • Coordinate and drive process related audit activities (MPS, Robustness, PFMEA Go & see…) and monitor gap closure
  • Support, coordinate and drive process related Yokoten activities (Cat-A, NCE, LL, Best Practices)
  • Controls equipment build: supplier selection and communalization, purchase maximization, machine built standards
  • Consolidate and report capacity planning information globally
  • Capex reviewer verifying process design compliance to standards, machine builder selection, cost relevance, adequate capacity utilization
  • Master PFMEA and Process change approver
  • Consolidate reporting and reports
  • Provides technical support to divisions (Launch, improvement, problem solving...)
  • Train Industrial Engineering teams, and optimize skillset globally, identifying resource sharing opportunities and creating a network of experts
  • Contribute to benchmarking process in your area i.e. drive local IE teams to have each operation aligned with best operation in term of operation performance (productivity, flexibility, reliability and robustness, quality, capex efficiency...)
