Project Leader – Machine Safety Development Process

Project assignment for one year with the task to improve our standards and way-of-working for machine safety E2E, from development to equipment in serial manufacturing.  

The overall tasks of the position is to project lead the work to:

  • Create a current state picture of how procedures and standards in place today in regards of machine safety, through-out divisions and product lines
  • Define a future state way-of-working and procedures/standards in place addressing both development of new equipment as well as for existing equipment
  • How to document them in existing standards or creating new standards
  • Develop and lead a plan for capability building & training of employees at all levels in organization in regards of proposed standards and procedures


The work with will done together with a team from different functions and divisions that will be part time team members. Close collaboration will be required with people with-in:

  • Health & Safety organization
  • Product Lines Manufacturing teams
  • Divisions Operations and Industrial Engineering / Machine Build teams
  • Indirect Purchasing
  • Global Manufacturing


As Project Leader you will do frequent status reporting to EVP HR and EVP Operations including the global HR and Operations teams.  

The role requires skills such as;

  • Good collaborative and communicative skills
  • Good ability to lead global teams
  • Good understanding of operations and safety requirements
  • Basic technical knowledge mechanical/electrical/controls
  • Can be located in any Autoliv facilities


Person shall have strong leadership/program management skills, preferably from business area (operations, quality, development) with a solid APS background and understanding.


The project leader role will have a dual reporting to Global Director H&S and Director Corporate Manufacturing.


Success in this role will be measured on;

  • Procedures and standards in place for both development of new as well as for existing equipment
  • Capability/training plan defined ready to be rolled put
