Global Program Manager - Group Strategic Transformative Initiative Digitalization of Manufacturing

The purpose of the role is to drive and lead the Group Strategic Initiative Digitalization of Manufacturing.  

The overall tasks of the position is to

  • Set the global structure for the Digitalization of Manufacturing program

    including defining  global roadmap with implementation and roll-out approach.

  • Manage and maintain the global portfolio of use cases incl. savings and resources required (human/capital)  - Short and Long term perspective
  • Collaborate with  Divisions and inspire/challenge their roadmaps
  • Manage and lead “funneling” process with gates to bring initiatives to deployment phase incl. facilitate review of local initiatives with potential of global applicability
  • Follow-up progress of Global Initiatives in all phases; exploration/development/validation/implementation
  • ALV internal communication of the strategic initiative to broader community
  • Drive Digital Manufacturing Maturity Assessment (in cooperation of APS) (co-lead Operational Excellence Assessment; APS + Digitalization + Automation)
  • Interact and align activities with other “functional” digitalization initiatives to ensure coordination of initiatives and best utilization of group resources
  • Digitalization of Manufacturing / Factory of Future Governance Committee – setting agenda
  • Develop and lead a plan for capability building & training of employees
  • Support business Case calculations for different use cases
  • Stimulate and engage organization to identify possibilities with Digitalization of manufacturing  

Close collaboration will be required with

  • Digitalization of Manufacturing IT Lead
  • Divisional Leaders of Digitalization of Manufacturing Initiative
  • Product Lines
  • Other functional leads of digitalization strategic initiatives
  • Project Managers for Digitalization of Manufacturing Initiatives

The role requires skills such as;

  • Good collaborative and communicative skills, collaborating with relevant stakeholders in Global functions and Divisions and lead global teams
  • Ability to work strategically as well as operational understanding
  • Good aptitude for IT and technology
  • This role can be located in any Autoliv facility

Person shall have strong leadership/program management skills, preferably from business area (operations, quality, development) not essential to have an IT background.  

Success in this role will be measured on;

  • Portfolio of initiatives in different stage of funneling process (number & saving potential)
  • Deployed and implemented initiatives including saving
